Dawn, the nice woman who runs the motel, just let me know that they plan on opening one of the downstairs rooms as an emergency shelter if needed. I asked if I could bring the dogs with me if this happened. She hesitated and I said we would stay up in my room and hunker down in the bathroom. I probably wouldnt be able to get the dogs down the outside stairs and we would be safer where we are. Yup, this shits getting real really fast!!
