Dawnelle spoke to town council member Jan Unger in regards to Cicero chicken laws: "There is a Zoning ordinance, but not a code ordinance. Speaking with her she asked where I lived etc. I told her. she proceeded to tell me she had no complaints on file for my address about my chickens, but she did have a few others who had chickens in town and they were keeping roos that were crowing at 5 am. She stated to me they do not enforce the ordinance if they receive no complaints. However; speaking with her I would like to amend the ordinance zoning space and she agreed that the zoning was off, I have to call Paul Munoz Planning and Development Director schedule myself and whoever else will help attend the next Plan Commission meeting on the 11th Day of September, 2013. We have to request to be added to the meeting agenda. Once again I was informed no actions would take place without a complaint."
