Day 11- I am thankful for the invisible hand of Providence. God - TopicsExpress

Day 11- I am thankful for the invisible hand of Providence. God is exhaustively and meticulously sovereign. That is not up for debate. His governing hand plots the courses of empires, establishes dynasties and plucks kings from their imperial thrones. The providence of God also breaks eyes glasses so that you can spend a day growing in the faith with a Christian brother. Exhaustive sovereignty rules over the little things as well as the big things, since all things are little things to an infinite God. Providence is good and merciful; just and righteous. Remembering His sovereignty allows us to retain our sanity. Providence is a soft pillow. Rest easy. Thank God that He actively and perpetually controls all things, whether they be the stars in their courses or the shifting grains of sand on the seashore. Sovereign Ruler of the skies, Ever gracious, ever wise; All my times are in thy hand, All events at thy command. His decree who formed the earth Fixed my first and second birth; Parents, native place, and time, All appointed were by him. He that formed me in the womb, He shall guide me to the tomb: All my times shall ever be Ordered by his wise decree. Times the tempter’s power to prove; Times to taste the Saviour’s love; All must come, and last, and end, As shall please my heavenly Friend.] Plagues and deaths around me fly; Till he bids, I cannot die; Not a single shaft can hit, Till the God of love sees fit.
