Day 11. American chapter II. Dear readers...Sorry for radio silence. I am gonna start taking notes to make sure that I dont forget anything. It has been an eventful week. We eventually got wifi yesterday and also managed to get a fridge delivered. I was introduced to the extreme rally driving experience all week last week. You DO indeed need to be both awake and focus while commuting in the state of Texas. First week at work completed, second one starting soon. I have a new friend at the office, I see her every evening under my car (I called her Charlotte in honour of my BFF), she is a turtle. I see valtures, deers and racoons just about every day. Really sureal. The clan spent yesterday finding a couch (that will be delivered tomorrow) and shopping in Walmart (it is so so big, you do need sat nav and a set of wheels). The choice is just ridiculous, for everything. I keep asking myself why this is not the case in Europe. You can even buy cactus to spice up your salads. (the only negative point is a poor selection of European wines...for all my wine lover readers like my dear friends the Stook, Claire & Colin Stook. No St Emilion, St Estephe, you can have it all I suppose). We went to Lake Conroe today...a small lake apparently according to the locals (the size of the North sea if you ask me) and also stopped in a local town. I posted few pictures illustrating the western movie set feel. I was expecting to see the lone ranger showing up at the corner of any street (or Lucky Luke & Jolly Jumper for my dear French followers). The weather was absolutely glorious today, tshirt, short, sandals, shades and a big fat smile. I went to get Michelle set of wheels (as per previous posting). Ever so slightly girly.. The boys are actually starting school tomorrow and I think that they may be a bit apprehensive but I am sure they will be fine. Week 2 starts tomorrow. I have to sort out medical insurance and driving licences. I have not got yet a personal mobile phone hence the lack of pictures. It will come soon my dear readers. Anyway, my gorgeous wife and I are going to have a DVD night tonight drinking Corona Light (who said that romance was dead...Flight with Denzel washington). I will try to keep the installments going. Conclusion after 1 week. We miss you all a lot but I surely do not miss the weather. I am sure that you can not wait until the next episode (I might be soon competing with Hollyoaks, corrie and eastenders) of the paddy, the 2 cockney and the frog in Texas.
