Day 11 update: Today the IV in Sarah-Lyns neck was removed. They are upping her feed and discussing discharge on the weekend. Super fantastic day today. Her pace has picked up for her walks. Nothing holding her back now. She received an email today from Rob Stewart. He passed on some well wishes. How awesome is that? So cool because she is wearing her Fin Free t-shirt today. She really admires him and all his efforts to change the world. Yesterday she watched a video from Helene Campbell. Helene sent her a quick video with well wishes and said Sarah-Lyn is an inspiration. Tomorrow begins the day of teaching. We will start to learn all the meds and dosage of all the meds she is taking. I told them piece of cake, we know about meds, weve been doing CF meds for 18 years, we can do transplant meds it just will take a few days of watching, learning and then doing it ourselves with supervision before they discharge her. Lots of lung transplants happening in Toronto. The TGH surgeons have been busy. I cant tell you how happy that makes us.
