Day +111 He ate real good yesterday! Better than he has in weeks! Crazy the difference fluids & the correct meds make! The stomach infection test was negative... Glad we choose not to take those antibiotics. His blood counts & immune system have dropped because of the high dose IV steroids (which is expected this is why they hate putting him on them) he is having to get a unit of blood today and they added a preventative oral broad spectrum antibiotic to help prevent infection. We have to watch closely for BK virus symptoms because it can flare back up with his immune system being so low. He is getting a Neupogen shot to try and give his immune system a boost. They also ended up changing the IV steroids to 30mg every 6 hours for now +a oral one that is used to coat & reduce inflammation of his GI track... Depending on results of biopsies it will be adjusted....We should know something for sure Thursday after the GVHD doctors meet. Oh & he has the steroid induced diabetes again back to 4 sugar checks & insulin.
