Day 11of a month of Thanksgiving! I have always had a best friend through my life and my 1st bestest friend was and is Misty Misty DeLaine! We are still friends to this day; 40 years later. We met when we were ten yrs old; her dad pastored a church in Port Arthur Texas and my dad was the Assistant Pastor. We loved each other from the start! Misty, your beauty is that of an angel with your long, dark brown hair, soulful brown eyes, low soft voice and gentle grace as you move. You are do talented and gifted with your painting and writing, you are compassionate and giving, you are funny and wise, seeing humor and the deeper purpose in everything. You words of encouragement and especially the beautiful, truthful reminder that,Tonya, it will be alright! still resonates in my ears when I get down. We have had some great memorable times; like swimming in our maxi dresses at the Days Inn in Orlando, playing tennis in our skirts in Orange, the trampoline incident (no more needs to be said), me helping you run away in Lake Charles, my leg getting ripped open as we played with giant tonka trucks in Ft Worth, dressing Larry up, endless sinks full of dishes, sleepovers, giggling til our sides ached, secrets still kept today, blood-sisters, ... and on and on and on the memories go. We have laughed, we have cried, we have prayed, we have argued, fought and not spoken to one another for months on end, yet when we do get back together, it is if we have not missed a single day of our enduring friendship. That is a testament of true friendship! You are very special to me and we have lived parallel lives, traveling similar paths that always lead us back to one another. We will always have each other to call on and I want you to know that I love you dearly! You are a gift that I cherish along with our many, many memories. May the Lord richly bless you and keep you safe and may the peace of the Holy Spirit always be in your heart. :0)
