Day 12- Im thankful for childhood memories. A recent breakfast of sausage and pancakes brought to mind days when it was hog-killing time. Neighbors would come in and when the days work was complete, each went home with some of the fresh meat. When the huge pot was boiling to render out the fat, Daddy would give each of the children a small piece of lean meat and we roasted it over the fire around the pot. So much fun, yet so much work, made easier by helpful neighbors.
