Day 13 - Today I am thankful for memories! This morning Randy rushed in a couple hours after leaving for work and he startled me, when I asked him what he was doing, he made a joke with a great big smirk and then headed out the door. ( He had forgotten his phone) That moment instantly brought me back to a similar morning, when my son Nick had forgotten something after leaving for work and came home and startled me and when I asked him what he was doing he said I just forgot to say good bye this morning with the same smirky smile! When this happens, I always feel like it is a little gift from above. I surely love and miss my Nicholas Picklous! How wonderful memories can be! They can be deceiving, as they are one sided to the person who holds them, but they allow us to recall moments in our lives that we would never want to forget. They also fade away the bad if we let them. They are triggered by other people, a song, a place, a situation or a picture. How wonderful our lives are because of them! Everyday we make new memories and it is amazing at some of them that we keep and treasure! I hope everyone makes a memory today they can remember and cherish for years to come!
