Day 13 - we are still digging in Room II where a thick layer of burnt clay has been discovered. A blue glass vessel has been found within this context as well as an interesting number of black gloss ware fragments. In the central area of the excavation we have exposed the semicircular kiln which presents a straight parallel with the temper kiln found at the manufacturing district at Spolverino. Some of the students were also working on pottery and skeletal remains in the lab.
