Day 15: Its Saturday in Athens... Bet you will never guess what Im thankful for today... My Georgia Dawgs! Ive cheered for my Dawgs as long as I can remember. Whether they have a 12-0 or 0-12 season, in my mind, they are the best team in the land and always will be to me! Yes they make me mad so many times during a game. Im on a crazed emotional roller coaster ride most of the time, but the Dawgs will always be #1 to me! The much anticipated return of Gurley, the Black Out, the hopeful revenge for last years miraculous catch, and yes even the frigid temps will be amazing tonight. So many wonderful memories in Sanford Stadium from attending as a little girl, to Saturdays between the Hedges with Emily Hadden and Rae Carlton Colley as I cheered on my main squeeze, watching our littles sleep under our seats after a long day now being avid Dawg fans with Cynthia Young Herndon, to my most favorite all- time memory of the 2007 Black out beat down of Auburn with Pegge Goodwin Savage. With this season filled with controversy all around us and the many unethical decisions of other coaches/teams who seem to be winning and are never punished, I am very thankful for a coach who leads by example. For my Dawgs, Saturdays in Athens, Sanford memories with friends, Coach Richt, and so much more, I am thankful!
