Day 17~ I am thankful for my career choice. Being a nurse has taught me so much about life and being thankful for the little things. My love for the field started about 10 years ago as a hospice employee (I was a CNA). The nurses were my heroes, I wanted so bad to be one of them, to be able to help families and patients in the capacity they could. So, I did. All I can say is this, I been given much more than I ever gave, Ive learned much more than I ever taught. Unless youve been there in that quiet room with a heartbroken family saying their final goodbyes to their spouse, child or loved one, there are really no words to describe it....I love being a nurse, and no matter what area of nursing Im in....Ill always be a Hospice nurse at heart!
