Day 17 continued Dave continues to show such wonderful improvement. Hes actually walking BY HIMSELF to the toilet across the passage from his room. No walker, no stick, no assistance! Not once or twice a day but often---says hes getting bored and it gives him something to do! Hes throwing his right leg forward and hasnt got full use of his right arm but that is not stopping him! He so enjoyed seeing his girls. There was that moment or two when both the girls and Dave didnt know what to say and the girls were just trying to take it all in. Emma, a true WEST, came to the rescue and chatted and chatted and chatted some more. We had been practicing at home to try and speak through clenched teeth so that they werent scared when they saw the wires in his teeth and to understand why he couldnt open his jaw when he spoke. We had some fun with the children in preparation. Priceless moments!! His eye is also looking so much better even though he still has very blurred vision through it. The pupil is not contracting and so letting in too much light. Hell have to wear sunglasses which he doesnt normally do. Another thing for him to learn to get used to. He hasnt been sleeping well and so was to receive something last night but please pray for that as well. For both Dave and Mary Anne please. Some emotional times today! Mary Anne was so much happier though. So lovely hearing from you and please always put from where down as it is so encouraging for us to see how far your love and prayers are coming from.
