Day 2. It s 7.30 a.m in Derby.My yesterday trip from Jakarta to Derby UK was an exhausted but exciting one. Although the food was not my taste, I did enjoy being a bird watching the sunset so close n personal. I had a nice chat with a British couple living in KL. during the flight. The immigration officer at Heathrow airport was also friendly with understandable English. And Derby! It s an awesome small town that reminds me of Sim town with typical red brick British houses with green shady lanes. Mbak Puji took me a brief visit to down town where most Indian, Pakistani n Polish immigrants run their shops. She showed me a mosque and I saw a group of people in typical Moslem attire. A woman with black burqa passing by the mosque but my sis said that women were not allowed to join the congregation at the mosque. Another visit to Quandron where the rich lived in their beautiful houses facing to hills and farming land. But I didnt see any gap between the rich n the poor here if we look at their houses. For me both have cozy n sweet neighbourhood. My plan today is a closer look at Derby before heading back to London in the afternoon.
