Day 2 at taupo. The weather cleared up nicely with the rain just managing to stay away for most of the day:) Xodo was much better today, more settled and flowing, he was 6th in the 5 c, with a mark of almost 65 % . The open med class this year is very hot competition, and the young man is definitely doing a gd job in his first year at this advanced level. In the afternoon he again did a very respectable test, with a mark of 66%, 64%, and a 59%, obvisually a judge that doesnt like fresians . Unfortunately he gets this occasional, probably 1 in 7 judges do not like him, part and parcel of competing another breed of horse other than a Hanoverian! Final place in he music 10 th Holly had her g. Prix music today also...... Much better than yesterday too. In the last month much has been happening. In little Hollys life..... And yet again we have learnt what not to do! She will get back to where she was before very quickly, with so much more to give. The freestyle judges gave her some lovely marks , and nice encouraging comments , which is always nice, as em had such a bad ride yesterday. Thank you judges, :). :)
