Day 2 of #7daysthanksgivingchallenge#...aBeautiful people and I mean every letter of that… despite no one is afforded the luxury to choose their family, mine seems to be carefully chosen by me with different characters and personalities that spice up life. My parents are awesome, my mum of blessed memory…sleep well Iya mi Ajogbe. Omo Oloore re ko jin si koto… I remember days of counting 25 panadol in different places, long bread, egusi and iru on Saturdays, we don’t get home till afternoon after you have sent ‘delegates’ that must be cooking lunch before your arrival, we must visit every old people and people that has just been delivered of their babies….Iya sekan, Iya meta, you are neat, fashionable and a very large heart you got. You don’t entertain repetition of memory verse during family alter but yours repetition minister to our lives ‘Saapon lati fi ara re han…’ (Study to show yourself approve…)I see where your kindness has paved way for all of us, even in death; I still love you. Though I was the youngest when you passed on to a greater glory and my wonderful siblings were worried how I will cope and be a good wife in future (I know that’s their greatest worry though they didn’t tell me) as I don’t usually do things by myself but here am I, I cross many oceans and challenges and still standing like First bank all because of God’s backing… My dad like no other…I still don’t understand the planet you come from as I can’t fathom the love you have for people and giving to people in your life, you can give ANYTHING to anybody as long as it doesn’t contradicts with your faith. I remember days of sleeping with total strangers and refugees. Definitely your unreserved love and total surrender to Lord Jesus Christ made it easy for you because God is love and in Him there is no hypocrisy, I don’t know till date whether anyone that has come in contact with my dad has found any fault in him. Yes! No one and I mean no one. I pray it and say to my friends that if I should marry anyone like my dad, am forever blessed, do I say if? I mean When because God has granted that already! Just that my dad can make you cook in the middle of the night for visitor o …you are so kind that we sit in the booth while other children sit on your 7 seater old station wagon in the days of Federal Government College staff school… no wonder one of the parent of the children utters a statement one day that ‘ti n ba ri aja Ayegboyin ti mi o ba sank fun, Olorun ma bi mi’ (if I should see any of Ayegboyin’s pet and I don’t show kindness, God will query me for that). Daddy I have too much to say about you as I admire so many things about you. Your health most especially… I crave that. At 80 you are smarter than me that can only be God. I also need to know the secrets behind your calmness, you are anxious for NOTHING. I so much desire that daddy. How do I explain my second parents, daddy Osunkunle of blessed memory, I love you to pieces and you know that, you are blunt, not hypocritical and you love the Lord, till we see again with more faces, keep resting. My mother in love of life, I admire your prayer life and humility so much, I like the way you love me just that this my mum can call a day old baby brother or sister ( that doesn’t exist in our generation…lol) She respects everyone accordingly… Lord for my Parents am very very grateful. This second day I nominate Lanre Taiwo, Victor Adebiyi Adeniyi and Taiwo Adepoju Ayidu I understand your tight schedule, just do it your own way…..
