Day 2 of my 5-Day B&W Photo Challenge, nominated by Jeannette Rodriguez-Pineda. Like I said before, I know there’s criticism about those who are not posting new images made on b&w film but the truth is I really can’t at this time. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them. Today I am posting a set of images from a series I began in 2007. Obsessed with cemeteries, I would habitually lunch, nap and photograph them in an attempt to accept my own death. But as the project moved along, I began to occupy the spaces objectively and oddly observed the seeming attempts humans build architectural structures of the dead, to simulate the configurations of the living (literally or metaphorically). I learned something that is probably obvious to most: that although cemeteries retain the dead, they really exist to pacify the living. Id now like to nominate the gorgeous Laura De Rochas.
