Day 207: Got feeling restless this evening around dusk and we decided to pile up into the car and go for a ride. It had been years since I went down Prices Bluff out of Glen Wilton and tonight was the perfect night for it. Xander had already passed out in his carseat way before we ever pulled over. As we got out of the car we noticed that the trees were asparkle with lightning bugs. The wide open field was too. Hundreds of them!! So as I was standing there holding Melissa and watching the colour drain from the sky I realized that in that very moment life was perfect. There were no idiots that needed thinking or worrying about. There were no pressing issues that needed tending. That just reaffirms my belief that Heaven is not a place you go to when you die and your Spirit departs your mortal vessel. Heaven, for me and many others, is a state of mind and a state of BEing. In that instant there was no past, there was no future, there was only NOW.
