Day 21: I am amazed at how blessed we were with Nathan. Hearing about other babies born as early as him I am in shock at the difference. For 6 weeks early my son was a moose at 5lbs 5oz & 19 1/2 inches. He came out breathing on his own....not many do. And while he was lazy at first with nursing, eventually he got it.....funny, the week he was due. And He spent 2 weeks warm and toasty in an isolet. While I kept the most nutty schedule ever. Being at the hospital with him was not negotiable. I gave my days to the older 3 and nights to him and am so grateful that the hospital gave me a room to sleep in for 9 days after being discharged. No one really sleeps when they are up every 3 hrs. Today he still looks so tiny to me. And he is 13lbs 24 inches. Not a day goes buy that I thank the Lord for helping me through all that and giving my son the strength he needed to thrive. For that I am so very blessed and thankful!
