Day 21: Today Im just thankful. The outpouring of love and support from our community and far beyond has just been awe inspiring. Weve had offers of support from school districts all over the state, I got an email from a school nurse (whom Ive never met) from Corpus Christi, just offering prayers. One of my sweet students brought me homemade pumpkin bread that he helped his mom make and made sure to give me a big hug too. Our school family raised an incredible amount of money to help Trudis dad. As hard as the last 2 days have been, they have also been encouraging. Its really a thing of beauty to see this small town and our small faculty come together to help and support each other during the worst of times. So yes, today, Im just thankful.
