Day 25. Fresh Start Journal. Do you remember high school? It was a REALLY long time ago for me but there are still memories that make me shudder. When I went to HS things were much simpler in the world. Africa was a total of eight countries. Math was not as complicated. And we did not have all these specialized courses. I do not remember HS being as complicated when my sons, now 43, were in school either. But now that my 16 year old grandson is in HS I know there is no way I could get through it. I admire the kids of today. The world as I used to know it has evolved into a technological nightmare but HS students today have it all going on. I volunteer at the high school several days a week and am amazed at how much information is pushed on students daily. Teachers are not given enough credit, or pay, for what they do. I am in awe of the educational system of today and admire those dedicated to helping our youth keep it all together.
