Day 265: My Promise Lets go over what Christ prays for - TopicsExpress

Day 265: My Promise Lets go over what Christ prays for Believers: (John 17:11-24) 1. To be kept from evil (v 11, 15) 11. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee, Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 15. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 2. Unity of all believers, as God and Christ are one (v 21-23) 21. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. 23. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 3. Joy of Christ fulfilled in all believers (v 13) 13. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 4. Sanctification or separation of believers to the full work of God, as He had been set apart for this work (17-19) 17. Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth. 18. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 5. World recognition of God’s love to believers (v 24) 24. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 6. Reunion with Christ (v 24) 24. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 7. To see His glory ( v 24) 24. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. See, no one ever said being a Christian, a believer, was easy. If a believer wants to be true then let them become one with God. Not easy. Life on earth will never be easy. So I would rather have our Lord in my corner than doing it alone. Your God, Your Father is righteous. He is Holy. He is Heavenly. He is Merciful. He is Glory. He is Spiritual. He is your Light. He is Heaven! Look, He IS the beginning and the end. He will carry you through the toughest of times as long as you believe. He gave you life at birth. He promises you eternal life after death. This life we live is temporary. The goal is to one day enter into His kingdom regardless of your trials, regardless of your worries, regardless of your flaws. See, when we are at our worst and in valley with no light is a time when we will receive His blessings as long as we call out His name. He will always care for us. He will never leave us. Although you may feel forsaken, your not, HE IS THERE WITH YOU! Believe!!
