Day 27 - Song 27 As my cover photo indicates, I gave my life to Jesus Christ in Dec. of 1995...and at that time, I was listening to everything Winans. I left all other genres of music, the hip hop, love music, rock, jazz, pop, r&b, etc...alone for a considerable amount of time (about 3 years). The Winans music not only introduced me to the Gospel, but also to the incredible love of Jesus. Their music was instrumental in reshaping my heart and soul, hence the title of this album from which this my final 5th song comes from...Heart and Soul. I must say this, I could have chosen any Winans song from any album and it would have the same affect on me. I could have easily chosen any of these following songs as my final 5th: Bring Back The Days Of Yay and Nay Give Me You Restoration Trust In God Long Time Comin Straighten My Life Out Finders Keepers Tomorrow For We May Never Know Everything You Touch Is A Song When You Cry Let My People Go Uphold Me Millions How Can You Live Without Christ Smile On Me Count It All Joy The Question Is Aint No Need To Worry Dont Leave Me I Know Someone Choose Ye Redeemed Special Lady Real way ...just to name a few. Their music caused me to rethink what I thought I knew about love. Their music became my praise and worship time when I did not even fully understand praise and worship time. Their music introduced me to theology and helped me in my attempts to understand God and His dealings in the world and in my life. Their music taught me forgiveness, service, patience, hope, restoration... This song...Prone to Wonder...was my story...where I was spiritually and emotionally. I helped me to be honest about where I was and where I wasnt; who I was and who I wasnt. It helped me to admit to the fact that as much as I was falling in love with Jesus, I was still Prone to Wonder, to be led my my own evil desires and temptations...but how Christ already knows that, but still chooses to love me...
