Day 27 - Trent and I talked that we were going to raise Karsyn just like any other baby/kid. She has down syndrome, an extra 21st chromosome but down syndrome does not define who Karsyn is. We will never tell Karsyn, You cant do that because you have down syndrome. I cant wait for Karsyn to start walking so she can start dance calss! We treat her just like any other kid. For the people who are around us know that we do not let her get by with acting naughty! She knows exactly what she is and isnt supposed to do! We have been fighting the throwing the cup game. She will look right at you and just have this little grin on her face before she throws it! It is so hard not to laugh at her because it is pretty darn cute.... but we keep a straight face, most of the time, and make her put her cup back on her tray. So what makes Karsyn different, nothing! She is throwing her cup just like any other toddler!
