Day 28… I am having a hard time today! Two years ago today I had an accident and lost my Emily. So today I am thankful for all the wonderful people that I work with. Every manager from every central school came to the hospital that day. Even the principals from Emily’s and Ethan’s schools came. I was in a daze or more like shock. I could not believe that this was really happening to me. But for three days everyone that I worked for or with showed up at the hospital at some point and time and was there for me and my family for support. Even if I only got to say hey and thanks for coming, it meant more than any of you will ever know. You checked on me and then you went and looked in on my Emily and prayed over her for God to touch her little body and heal her. You brought snacks for me and my family. CIS students made get well cards for Emily and Mr. O’Banion brought them to us and I read some of them to her. It was a nightmare for me but my work family made a huge difference in my life by coming up there and just being there. Thank you to everyone at Central Community Schools for your support during our loss of the sweetest little girl in the world.
