Day 28 Post Transplant: Andi is calling it her 1 month lunganiversay. Im calling it amazing! To think that already a month has gone by! Weve experienced about as many different emotions as there are. But honestly, its all worth it! And Andi would say the same thing, if she could talk. (Borrowed your line Andi). One emotion that has been nagging Andi the last week is frustration. She seems to feel that shes not progressing fast enough. Well today she had enough of that and pushed herself harder and farther. She walked again with less assistance. She also had 2 sessions of 40 minutes each where she was completely off the ventilator breathing on her own power. This was huge. Both physically and mentally! She proved to herself she could do it! Now we hope it continues to build from there. She looked strong while sitting in the chair several different times. Her color was great too. It was her best day yet.
