Day 284: In the midst of the sorrow of losing our beloved dog, I - TopicsExpress

Day 284: In the midst of the sorrow of losing our beloved dog, I can still be thankful because God did a miracle in the midst of the darkness. Read on if you want to, but its a tear-jerker. We took our boy to a place on Main Street. They took him back to do the I.V. but couldnt get it in. I was adamant about being with him when he breathed his last. The vet came in and said they would have to mask Skipper down and put the needle through his heart. I was crushed because I wanted to be with him, but they said I could say goodbye before they did the next step. The tech brought him in and me and my dad were crying and saying goodbye. The vet tech went to take him, but when she got close, she told us he was already gone...his heart had just stopped. So, he didnt have to go through the procedure... and we got to be there when he passed. In the midst of great sorrow, God gave myself and my dad John Cash a glimpse of light. It was hard to go through, but I am so incredibly thankful that Skipper was with his family when he breathed his last.
