Day 3: 1. Im grateful that on March 11, 1963, my mom suggested that I call Gary Schaber (I babysat his kids on M,W& F) to see if he had any job open at McGeorge. Started working March 12 as a Girl Friday. Then Admin Secretary, assistant Registrar, then Director of Financial Aid. I stayed for 41 years. 2. Im grateful that I had Anna Rose Fischer as a mentor and BFF during most of those 41years and Jane Kelso thereafter. The Dean & Gary, Claude Rohwer. Charles & Florence Luther, Allan OConner, Bryte Peterson & John Harby Paine as friends. Tony Skrocki & BobONeal, first as students , then as professors and too many others to name. 3. Im grateful that so many of us felt that McGeorge was a family & not so much just a job. Carol Hunter, Judy Sutherland, Mary Toles, Sheri Shuteroff Vargas, Pauline Rodriguez, Lori Rase Hall, Cindy Bogue, Deborah Bonds Berry, Wendie Loredo, nancy Whalen, pat Coffee, Blanche Spencer, Ron Marcroft, Max Stamm, Barbara Thomas, Walter & his dad, Lovelle Harris ok have to stop because Ill undoubtedly forget someone, so I apologize to all I left out. In short: Im grateful for my life at McGeorge!!!!!!
