Day 3: La Fortuna Pic 1 - Horseback riding through the clouded jungle with Steven, our amazing your guide. Annie rode Contessa and I rode Miollia (sp?). Pic 2 - The most amazing canopy tour via zip line. We rode 11 different carbon fiber lines and one was more than 0.5 km. We also visited a crocodile farm and got hit with even more rain :) We swam in some hot springs and went down some crazy fast water slides but no pictures of that madness. Pic 3 - Butterfly Farm. We arrived late but saw one butterfly (pictured) who looks like a butterfly (obviously), snake (in second shot), and an owl from below (as held by guide). Beautiful. All four pics are the same butterfly. Pic 4 - We met the kindest gentleman from Mexico City, Mexico. We talked in broken Spanish for nearly two hours and with the help of a dictionary, we learned a great deal. Much like my father, Bob Uhrman, he worked for GM for 33 years as an engineer in the GM Mexico plant. He took a picture of us (shown) and we discussed our different families and exchanged pictures of our dogs (perros). He encouraged us to contact him if we make it to Mexico City sometime. Were home, dry, and ready to leave for Monteverde in the morning.
