Day 3 of Hajj: Today is al-Yawm an-Nahr, the busiest day of Hajj. The pilgrims prayed their Fajr prayer in Muzdalifah today, made Dhikr of Allah after the prayer as much as they could and then started to proceed to Mina before sunrise. They are performing the following rituals today: (1) stoning al-Jamarat al-Kubra, (2) sacrificing an animal, (3) Shaving or trimming the hair and (4) Tawaf al-Ifadha and Sai’ between Safa and Marwa. Stoning al-Jamarat al-Kubra must be done today; the rest of the rituals can be delayed for the remaining days of Hajj. After performing at least two of these four rituals, the pilgrims are allowed to resume wearing regular clothing. They will pass the night in Mina.
