Day 3 of our Tahiti cruise on Oceanias Marina. Yesterday was so amazing...we were in Moorea, a small island close to Papeete. We did a snorkel tour and swam with Stingrays....hundreds of them. I must admit I was apprehensive about this...remember Steve Irwin? I was thinking all it took was a barb to hit you and its all over! But these creatures were very sweet and loved gliding up around our bodies. We were petting them! The tour guide warned not to step on them (we were in 5 ft of water). Everyone laughed and he said Im not kidding. Lol....they have these long spikey tail like things and then barbs on them. One barb means female and two barbs is male. Then the reef sharks came out (enticed with food). There were sharks everywhere in the water circling us (all part of the show)! Ok so Stingrays and Sharks....hmmmm......the highlight of the show was the Moorey Eel that popped in and out of his rock cave. Now that got my attention!!!
