Day 38 of living with my parents: Went to Best Buy today to go - TopicsExpress

Day 38 of living with my parents: Went to Best Buy today to go look at TVs for the new place. I had been in there for a while and was strolling around looking at different things. Apparently roaming around a store filled with expensive gadgets while wearing a baggy hoodie and a hat pulled somewhat low across your brow makes you a target for security. I started to make my way out of the store after pricing things and the guy at the little Hello, welcome to Best Buy/Good bye, thanks for shopping at Best Buy counter kind of makes his way to the door. He asks, Can I see your receipt? To which I replied, Huh? I didnt buy anything. In the time it took to have that short conversation, I had two other guys standing on my left and right. They said, Sir, you need to come with us. Not really understanding what was happening, I said, ok and went with them. They take me through the back and to an office and have me sit down at a table. The guy says, Please remove the items from your pockets. Omg, they think I stole something! I asked, Do you guys think I stole something? as I emptied out my pockets. They just said, Please empty your pockets. The police are on their way. So I empty my pockets and take off the sweatshirt. Theyre not buying that I dont have something stashed somewhere else. We go back and forth arguing about how I couldnt shove a camera or TV up my you-know-what and they keep saying that I mustve taken something else. So the two guys tell me to stay put and they leave the room. Ive had just about enough of this BS at this point and dont really feel like spending my afternoon with these two guys and the cops. The room had two somewhat small windows. One was open and not very high up the wall. Bingo. Im out of here. I grabbed my sweatshirt and things from my pockets, put the chair under the window, knocked the screen out, tossed the sweatshirt out and began my escape. I got my upper body out and started to fall towards the ground. I put my arms out to hit the ground and then BAM! I feel the tightest grip Ive ever felt. One of the dudes had walked back into the room and grabbed my ankle. Now picture this, Im 36 years old, dangling out of a window at Best Buy, my sweatshirt is on the ground, my shirt is falling over my head, I cant quite reach the ground and am pushing off of the wall to combat this guys grip as he keeps pulling my leg...just like Im doing to you. Nothing much happened today. Pops made an apple cranberry pie. It was delicious.
