Day 4 - Bhutan : Punakha to Gangtey/Wangdue. Our morning drive over the bumpy and winding highway took us to the Gangtey Goempa - an old monastery dating back to the 17th century. At the vicinity, we were hosted by a Bhutanese family who runs a home stay. We tried rice wine with fried crispy rice and milk tea. This energized us to proceed with the nature hike along the valley of Probjikha. At the end of the hike at 3pm, we were treated to a yummy lunch with a surprise dish of fried fish (seafood is hard to come by).
