Day 4, Making resolutions doable. When I first tried to get healthy and lose weight in my 30s, I was inactive and tended to excuse myself from trying much if I didnt have the time. Well, One year, rather than let the status quo continue, I decided to take a 5 minute lunch walk in the scenic area next to my job daily. I figured a tiny bit of exercise was better than none. I enjoyed the moments outside the office immediately, & took the short break to breathe and break up my day in a positive, refreshing way. I found myself looking forward to these breaks and planning on how I might shorten lunch to take longer walks. Soon I was up to 15 minutes. To make a long story short, I began my transition into running eventually as I realized not only how much my little breaks refreshed me, but how much I enjoyed the time. A year later I was regularly running 5Ks competitively as I transitioned to regular work out times that I found energizing. So, ask yourself is there a SMALL way to start your resolutions, your new habits. Is there one way to make that a positive step in the right direction. See what happens. facebook/triunecounselingservices
