Day 4: So thankful for the ministry of the weekly TeleConference. I am a member of The Church of God, but Im 2 to 3 hours from them, so going every Sunday is certainly not an option. We have a home church here and use to receive our Sunday School books from the late Bishop Donald Hall. I ran into a sisters ministry on line, a few years ago, and began to call her conference. She would ask me to pray sometimes, and eventually asked me to be the Ministries Prayer Director, leading the ladies prayer group on Tuesday nights. I really enjoyed this and things were going great..ladies would call in from different states and we would have a praying good time, haha. God really was moving....After a few months of enjoying this, the Ministry leader told me the Lord told her to take the prayer ministry over. Oh well.... The ladies, whom I had met on line began to contact me, where are you, why arent we having Tuesday night prayer? Not wanting to cause trouble I would say, Im not doing it anymore.. Several of these ladies began to ask me to start my own Prayer group, as they had stopped having the Tuesday night meetings. I was hesitant but took it to the Lord in prayer. The Lord gave me the go ahead, and in March 2012 I launched the prayer ministry. I had a few ladies and my then 90 year old aunt Ora..sometimes I was on line alone, but Sis Karen Crumey Sumter was usually with me, inviting others to join in...and they did. After a few months I heard the Lord say...teach the people, teach the people the Bible WHAT? So here I go, He gave me the subjects...The Women of the Bible, The Book of James...and now The Names of God...we are studying ELOHIM this Thursday night, 7:30-8:30 EST.. call 605-4754700, code 367192. God even named the conference...IN THE WORD with Glenda Stewart Torrence. You see its HIS work, Im just the vessel Hes using to get this work done. I didnt have a name.... I said all of this to say..Today I am thankful to God for how He lead me to do what I love more than anything in the world..Praying, singing and teaching the Word of God! If I had not helped the other Sisters Ministry..I may not have even thought of this. Sometimes helping someone else..God will show you what He has for you to do! I Praise Him! Pray for me please, Thank you! The Lord has grown His work, and God sends new ladies almost each week, my nephew even called in one night for prayer. You men out there you are welcome, I dont see this as a womens ministry...EVERYONE is welcome. Join in! The Lord will do you good!
