Day 5 - Seaworld and No Shopping !! Slept in till 5.58am! As I woke, I checked to see if Jo was OK, and that she hadnt sneeked off to the gym without me....she hadnt, fortunately. Anyway, all up around 6.30am. Todays trip is to Seaworld! But not before a nice breakfast, keep telling myself its the most important meal of the day 😊 We were off to Seaworld and got there for 8.45am. Last years family holiday to Crete, we made some good friends, and guess what, there here in Florida this year! So the agreement was to meet up and today was the day. We met up with them at 9.15 and after hugs all round, we headed straight to Manta. This was showing a 30min wait time, which gave us plenty of time to catch up and chat. The ride itself is top draw but was enough for me though with my newly found delicate nature on the big rides, got called a wimp by the kids, which always goes down well. We all enjoyed it though. A look round the turtles and manatees, then off to Atlantis, and we did find it! Jo was left holding the bags on this one, so there was 7 of us in one boat, Tom elected to sit by himself, and behind me too, wise move young Padawan! Laura and Matt got soaked on the front, not on the main drop but the small second drop....thats a tip to fellow travellers. Next was Kraken, but I chickened out, didnt want to vomit getting off the ride in front of our friends. Jo however, high on painkillers, went on and all screamed their way round. Next up the penguins, we really enjoyed this ride, and to see the penguins at the end is really cool as is the temperature. I did think at one point that frost bite had set in! Clyde and Seamore next, and in fact the last ever show is tomorrow :( Great fun and the mime artist always makes me chuckle, after Pets Ahoy, the hunger pains kicked in, it had been at least 90 mins since my last food!. Millers Ale House the choice today. Got in there at 2.45pm on the one on I Drive. Good seats in two booths with me put in the corner, and no one puts baby in the corner (film) We agreed on a starter, TO SHARE, followed buy a main course, a pitcher or two of beer and the bill, for the 8 of us was $175 plus tip. Got to say that the food was top notch and such good value. At this point, drinking beer mixed with painkillers for someones back, may not be the best idea! There was one enormous storm, when we eating, but this had passed when left. There was debris everywhere all over the road. Back to the hotel, for a quick freshen up and make a few notes, then back to Seaworld. Shamu show first, still fantastic, and I still love this show. A trip to Wild Arttic and then a quick stop off at The Shark Encounter, The Seals and then finished at the Sting Rays. Got to say, Seaworld is a great park and a good mixture of top rides and shows. We left the park at 9.30pm, said our goodbyes and headed home. TTFN, Paul xx BTW, the day was made even better with the company of Roy, Anita, Matt and Zoe, thanks for your company and enjoy the rest of your holiday.
