Day 5 - my last pick...so now, I break the rules and post a full album. Why? Because if someone asked me to pick only one album that I would have, this is it. For me The Beatles are way above and beyond anything that has ever been or will ever be...they are my massive sacred cow of popular music. This record has everything...absolutely everything...including a great album cover that helped strengthen the Paul McCartney is dead myth. Is there any other band who has ever made such a far reaching and massive contribution? Is there any other band that after splitting up, all members, yes, all members went on to have successful careers, yes, even Ringo. This album is the full trip - from the opening of Come Together to the magnificent The End with the secret hidden track Her Majesty tucked away in the tail for good measure.
