The Native People, who live in their own Nation under U.S. Treaties and are also located within the boundaries of New York, still continue to fight against State lawmakers over taxes and cigarette sales. I mention this here on election day because of Proposition 1, which seeks to amend the NYS Constitution to allow for seven Las Vegas style casinos. Have we not taken enough from these people without trying to cut into their legitimate right to make a decent life for themselves? I have long said, and I know its not PC, that the Indian Casinos are the Red Mans revenge. I am grateful to live in a country where I can express my opinion on such matters and hopefully not get lynched for saying so.
