Day 5 Led Zeppelin Challenge. I was tagged by Ayan Tolentino to post 7 Led Zeppelin songs in 7 days. Ill change mine a bit. Ill post 7 original songs that were allegedly ripped off by Led Zeppelin instead. 5th post, almost there. Tonight its another blues number written by Willie Dixon called Bring It On Home performed here by Sonny Boy Williamson. Led Zeppelins Bring It On Home has an almost 2 minute intro and a short outro that completely mimicked Williamsons version, down to the guitar and harmonica licks. Understandably, Jimmy Page, in an interview, claimed its a tribute to Williamson and theres only a tiny bit taken. Hmm, I think 2 minutes is not a tiny bit (its half of the song) but Dixon nor Williamson were credited and the song was listed as completely written by Page/ Plant. Dixon eventually filed copyright infringement in the 70s against Led Zeppelin and, as usual, they settled out of court.
