Day 5-New Story Summit, Findhorn, Scotland In this profound time of planetary change, the New Story Summit has been an opportunity to share emerging stories that express a sane future. It is an attempt to draw the contours of the cooperative movement that is arising spontaneously all over the world. To some it may seem that philosophical words are a luxury in the face of mounting global stress, yet a new natural philosophy is needed now more than ever, a pursuit of truth based on new understandings of our deep interconnection with the earth and each other. There is a sober awareness here that time is running out, a reflection of the larger earth story. As urgent as things are, there is still a sense we must also surrender, individually and collectively, to being carried over the falls of evolution into a new world impossible to know. Knowing and not-knowing is a tension here at the Summit, yet this is the nature of awareness itself. As we reflect, self-organize, and connect here in Findhorn, it may be worthwhile to harvest the best questions from the Summit, not to worry about finding the best answers. -R Fabian (Photos: New Story Summit)
