Day #5 of 5 for posting 3 positives and challenging 3 other people to do the same. Its been a few days since my last post, its been a crazy hectic week at the winery and Ive been too zombified at the end of the day for FB. So here I go again! 1) This is the last day of bottling. LAST. DAY. Hard to describe the mix of emotions felt, its a grueling week but overwhelming with pride and relief to see the vintage weve busted our asses working on for the last 2 years safely in bottle. 2) I am grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people doing a job that has meant so much to me. Whether on a nearly daily basis for some or on a more seasonal basis for others, you have all been a part of these last 7 years at Adams Bench. Thanks Hannah Barriatua Lewis, Tim Blue, Erica Blue, Ursula Peavy, and also to Cody B West, David Blue, Courtney Blue, Melissa Maurer, Chris Tift, Greg Uhrich, Sari, Jana, and Ben. 3) My kids are home :) I have missed them so much! I am so grateful for George Skaff Elias being such an incredible father in general, and for rearranging his work and personal schedule and taking the kids on unplanned trips in order to accommodate my crazy work schedule this last month. Always with an open heart and words of support, never a complaint. This last month in particular his help has been so appreciated, but he has also spent his last 7 years making it possible for me to work during weeks of summer bottling and long days of alternately freezing/broiling racking and weekends of wine clubs and tasting room. There really arent enough words to express my gratitude that he has made it possible for me to have worked at a job I love. And I am also grateful for Robert Cole and Susie Brunn Bourne for helping watch the kiddos during this last weekend of bottling!!!
