Day 532 Day off. Ive had a completely different day. Knocker the Royal Marine who I met the other day had arranged it for me to have a massage at The Carrick Health Spa and use the facilities there. I have never been to a health spa in my life and it was nice to see how the other half live. I couldnt help but smile to myself when I got there and was handed a robe to wear, and I wondered how many other People had turned up to be pampered whose shorts are held together by a boot lace. I had a 25 minute back and shoulder massage and then Knocker joined me in the roof top outdoor pool which was really warm and had a great view of Loch Lomond. We used the sauna and another pool indoors before getting changed and had something to eat in the restaurant downstairs with Eleanor who had picked me up and bought me here. This evening I then helped Knocker and Ross who run a boxing class at a local hall. Boxing is one of my biggest passions, I fought and coached for many years. I had a great time and the guys and girls put in alot of effort. After the session Eleanor drove me back to Erskine and dropped me off at a pub to charge my phone as I hadnt had chance to do it today. When my phone was fully charged I went in search of somewhere to sleep. If Im totally honest I actually felt guilty about having such a treat today. But now I dont feel so bad because Im now lying here in my sleeping bag in my bivvy bag in a bush under a bridge writing this blog. I want to say a huge thank you to Eleanor who ferried me about today and Knocker for arranging my visit to Carrick Health Spa. Thanks for reading xxx
