Day 6: Although the @HungerWeekGW events are over, there are still things people connected to the #HHAW Cause can do beyond GW Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and Hunger and Homelessness Action Week (HHAW) at GMU! Tonight Im going to a mapping activity of homelessness and poverty in the National Capitol Region (and maybe nationally and internationally) at 1922 F Street NW from 6-8 PM. I believe there are one (or more) Homeless Walks this weekend (see Crop Walk and I dont know if they are doing the Annual Help the Homeless Walk this year downtown), you see the Haiti activity Im doing listed a couple of statuses ago for this upcoming Monday, and this Sunday I have been invited to an interfaith service for some of the (monthly security) work that Ive done volunteering with a transitional house for displaced single mothers...this kind of hits home because one of the first mothers I worked with (telling my age...) was a FIFTH GRADE STUDENT I taught around the turn of the century (Y2K...when a teacher was on maternity leave)...this song by Crystal Waters kept people dancing in the clubs while exervcising a social justice theme...Gypsy Woman (Shes Homeless) https://youtube/watch?v=_KztNIg4cvE
