Day 6: Today, I am grateful for the change of seasons...but not in the traditional sense...Im grateful that as the baseball season winds down to an end, football season is upon us...soon to be followed by hockey and basketball...Then before we know it, its St. Paddys Day, the Final Four...and spring training...The change of seasons is awesome! Im grateful for my liberal friends like Cory Marie Cummins, James Bauer, Linda Bauer, John Colson, Marilyn DeMier Colson and others who present different views in intelligent, compassionate fashion. Too often, my fellow conservatives dismiss liberals as being less patriotic than we...not true at all, each of the persons I mentioned are as patriotic as anyone I know...and sometimes, they even make sense. ;) And Im grateful for having known three friends who God has called home in recent years...Ken Dow who taught everyone by his example that every person deserves to be treated with kindness, compassion and respect...Max Krackenberg who reminded me to always keep an open mind, and Trina Collins who inspired me to always keep an open heart too.
