Day 7 of my 7 day Gratitude Journey Well I am on the last posting of my 7 day challenge and I have LOTS more to acknowledge my gratitude for! Just shows you that the challenge works :) 1. I am immensely grateful for the people who have taught me what I need to know on my journey through life. Not all of them have been formal teachers, many have been friends, family, or lovers who have been in my life for years, or maybe acquaintances Ive met in passing or who have only been around for a while, or even strangers who have appeared for just moments in my life. My ongoing journey of self (re)discovery and self acceptance is hugely important to me and in the last few years I have found some incredibly important people who have stood with me and for me and who continue to support me on my journey 2. I am especially grateful for the developmental, evolutionary and spiritual teachers I have learned from especially Gregory Bateson, the many developers of NLP, Ken Wilber, Katherine Woodward Thomas and Claire Zammit, Chameli Ardagh, and Thomas Hubl. 3. I am grateful for those in the world who stand for peace and who work for a cooperative, collaborative, creative, peaceful, sustainable future, and I endeavour to stand with them. Increasingly I see my work in the world contributing to peace in its many forms. Inner peace = Outer peace. 4. I am grateful for all of you :) x Im going to end this final posting of my 7 day journey with a remarkable poem by ee cummings, one of my favourite poets, set to music by Eric Whitacre, one of my favourite composers. The words of the poem are beautiful and encapsulate so many important aspects of how to be in the world. i thank You God for most this amazing day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes (i who have died am alive again today, and this is the sun’s birthday; this is the birth day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay great happening illimitably earth) how should tasting touching hearing seeing breathing any–lifted from the no of all nothing–human merely being doubt unimaginable You?
