Day 8: Hi FB friends of Ash. This is Chris and I am temporarily taking over her FB page since I dont have (and dont want) one. I saw how she was posting what she is thankful for this month and I felt it appropriate to return the favor to her. So here goes: I am thankful for my wife who works hard everyday for her family. Who has given me three beautiful, intelligent, compassionate kids that would give their last meal to someone else in need. Who gives 120% to her kids everyday so they can have a better education and someone who cares about them (her students are her kids). Who changed careers so that we could move here for my career. Who carried the entire load, was Mom and Dad, when I was working 12-14 hour days and traveling for work, sometimes 18+ days at a time. Who is the toughest person in the world, who bravely kicked cancers butt, and NEVER missed a day of work during that time. Who was encouraging everyone around her (including me) that it would be fine. Who went to work, left and went to chemo or radiation treatments, and then back to work to teach her class, and never missed a day. Cancer would not win!! Who was brave enough to tell her students and let them pick out her Friday hair because she didnt want them to be afraid. Who fell down the steps while I was on a work trip, separated her shoulder, but got dressed and went to school to teach her class (until the nurse saw her and sent her to the ER). Yes, I am grateful to be married to Ashleigh, the toughest, strongest, compassionate, and most beautiful person I know. I am truly blessed!!
