Day 9: Cornelius’ Household was ‘Gathered’ Together - Acts 10:17-48 Our reading today introduces an amazing event that took place in Cornelius’s home. It changed his whole family. Over the next few days, we will take note of some significant elements of ministry that can prompt our prayers for family members that as yet do not know Christ. The great thing is that Cornelius’s Household came to faith, were filled with the Holy Spirit and in confirmation of those two experiences, they were baptised in water. Firstly, we focus on the ‘gathering’ element that happened that day. Maybe as Cornelius had had such a powerful revelation, he did not want anyone to be left out of what was to happen next. Luke’s content is a good guide to pray for others with. Prayer:Thank you Lord for what You did for Cornelius and his household. Please help me to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and seek You for Church events that I can invite my relatives to. I wait on You with patience and an attentive heart. Let me see what You are doing that I may be part of it. Amen.
