Day 9 of thankfulness. Today I am thankful for my church, Cedar Creek. A place where I am lead by pastors who are humble before The Lord and acknowledge their humanness admitting they too are sinners. Where I hear the Truth in the Word and am always encouraged and uplifted. Just a few points from my church (not bragging, just proud). 70,286 lbs of food to support local food pantries 18,415 lbs of gently used clothing to local area ministries 12,181 hot meals for families at Vision Kitchen in South Toledo 3,640 hot meals for families at That Neighborhood Church in North Toledo 1,772 hot meals for families at the South Toledo Kitchen 832 families at our West Toledo campus were given free groceries by partnering with Food for Thought 781 families at That Neighborhood Church were given free groceries $22,023 in financial assistance to 52 in need 1,200 books for Books for Buddies program Sponsoring 328 children in Central America with daycare programs, school supplies, clothing and nutrition needs Sending 92 short-term missionaries to Central America and 10 to New Orleans, LA to show the love of Christ Giving 18 cars away to families in need (most were single moms) Repairing 290 cars for single moms this year Praying for over 2,654 emailed prayer requests Over 1,850 face-to-face prayers with people during weekend services Average as of late, approximately 9,000 per week in attendance Giving away $425,551 to $1 for 1 local community program recipients Raised $7,106 from coin houses to build homes in Honduras And lastly in one weekend raised over $400,000 for the fight against human trafficking in Moldova Thank you Lord for leading me here.
