Day +91 post BMT. So...we are back in limbo for a while. When we were in Auckland last week they took a blood sample to test and see how much of Jamaines cells is now donor and how much is still Jamaine. Anyway his lymphocytes are too low at this point after transplant so we have to stop his cyclosporine. This med suppresses not only lymphocytes but also immunity. We need the lymphocytes to grow more because they keep the new stem cells in there rightful place. If the lymphocytes dont grow and we lose the graft, then he will have to have another transplant. He is also now at risk of some GVHD now that hes off the cyclosporine. There is nothing certain when it comes to health and medicine. This stuff takes you on such an emotional roller coaster. Last week we were happy as and things were going great. This week not so sure. Just have to ride this wave til it stops. Please stop soon. I couldnt bare to watch my boy go through transplant again. Please pray for him and send us all your positivity.
