Day seven of The Yellow Jacket War at the Buckhorne, and not one - TopicsExpress

Day seven of The Yellow Jacket War at the Buckhorne, and not one intruder has been spotted inside the camp store. However, on recon this morning, I spotted yellow jackets flying past the two yellow jacket traps I set. The invaders were flying in and out near the entry beneath the eaves of our country store. Winter will do them in if I do not! Ironically, I have not been stung while fighting them with a fly swatter, Raid, Black Flag, and yellow jacket traps but received a sting while sitting under the tent while I was selling tickets to STARS on Sunday at the Masonic Amphitheatre in Clifton Forge. I felt an insect land on my neck and crawl down my back where I was stung. I cannot be certain that it was a yellow jacket, but I whipped off my shirt and tried to find the attacker. It must have flown away as I removed my shirt. The sound technician confirmed the red mark where I had been stung. Yellow jacket or not, it felt like one!
